The heart actually looks pretty generous in the VD, especially the right side. I’m not sure what the significance of it is, given that the echo was unremarkable, so it’s possible that it could be caused by the presence of pericardial fat. I don’t see evidence of pulmonary edema, so I don’t think the clinical signs are cardiogenic in origin, but I’m not sure exactly what could be the underlying cause. Has a radiologist taken a peek at the rads?
Thanks Keith. Yes, the interpretation I posted was directly from the radiology report. I am thinking that the cardiomegaly must be fat. It is a plump, Cushingoid dog. I did not see any mediastinal masses in the cardiac window.
