- 12 year old MN Lab with persistent haematuria and weight loss
- The right kidney appears to have a heterogenous encapsulated mass extending from the caudal pole with hydronephrosis of the cranial pole – is this most likely a carcinoma?
- The inner bladder body wall has focal areas of thickening, the trigone and prostate appear normal. I do not have urinalysis results. Do you think the bladder changes are significant?
- Would nephrectomy be a treatment option?

Right kidney is suspicious
Right kidney is suspicious for neoplasia. Altough the focal bladder wall thickening may be an incindental finding, emerging TCC is possible. Would FNA the kidney, do a catheter-assisted biopsy of the bladder wall, 3-view thoracic radiographs, and check renal function before doing a nephrectomy.
