The decision was eventually made to humanely euthanize the dog due to worsening cough and poor quality of life.  No cytology or post-mortem biopsies were performed.

Any DV or VD images
Any DV or VD images available?
The most likely diagnosis would be a primary broncho-alveolar carcinoma.

Yes VD would also be useful
Yes VD would also be useful to decide if it was close enough to the thoracic wall to image and sample with US-guided fna or bx. Usually a lesion wihtin1 inch or less from the wall we can get to with compression or with sedation and compression. Anything further from the wall usually can’t be reached because the position doesn’t provide an acoustic window. Yep primary lung carcinoma is my guess as well.

Unfortunately the only VD
Unfortunately the only VD images were on the initial diagnosis and fairly occluded by other structures. The owners also had money concerns and decided to forgo any further work up or treatment, so all the follow up films were lats.
