Cytology has come back as reactive haemorrhagic effusion.
I have aspirated the affected lung lobe which is consolidated with hyperechoic densities within, sent to lab.
Could I have anyone’s opinion on the thoracic radiographs as now I am concerned about a lung lobe torsion.
It is the right cranial lung lobe that is affected.
Thank you so much.

In lung lobe torsion you can
In lung lobe torsion you can frequently see a lack of perfusion on color Doppler. Sometimes I see sth like a pulmonary vein stenosis (rapid turbulent inflow) on cardiac ultrasound. CBC frequently shows mild anemia and leukocytosis.
If there is any concern about torsion, I would always recommend an urgent CT scan because this is an emergency and needs urgent surgery!
