PDA?

Sonopath Forum

Hello,

I  need Your help in cardiology. This is a one year old female pincher, having a loud heart murmur. No any other symptom is present.

I made an echo, and a saw a left sided volume overload. No mitral reg. With color doppler i did not see ASD or VSD.

The flow in a. pulmonalis is turbulent, and i think i saw the PDA..just could not measure the velocity of tha flow. Do You also think this is PDA?

Thanks Your help!

Does the dog have a classical “Machinery” murmur?

Looks like a PDA to me- but I have never personally diagnosed one.

Not being critical- but how come you could not get spectral doppler?

Thank You!
Because this

Thank You!
Because this machine has only pwd on it:(
I have sent the dog to a cardiology center.
The flow was too high and could not measure it with pwd.
I have not diagnosed either yet-soo i am not sure. I hope they will call me back with the results:)

Its either a PDA or a bad

Its either a PDA or a bad pulmonic stenosis but I lean toward PDA. You would need CW over that turbulent flow in the deep PA to tell the difference.

Here are some more in the basic search

and then look at the pulmonic stenosis cases:
