Pancreatic mass?

  • 14 year old cat with chronic history of V+/d+ but deteriorated over past few days and not eating
  • The small intestines were mildly thickened with a hypertrophied muscularis layer
  • The pancreas was irregular with a 2 x 2 cm mass that seemed to extend from the pancreas
  • Do you think this is a pancreatic mass? And if so carcinoma? 
  • FNA pending

Large irregular pancreatitic

Large irregular pancreatitic mass – most likley neoplastic and majority are carcinomas. FNA may give the diagnosis but Tru-cut may be required
