- 12 year old FS herding breed (mixed)
- 3 year history of occasional cough
- Severe coughing over last 1-2 months, treated at rDVM with pred/abx.
- Saw at EC last night, radiographs show a white out in cranial lung fields with possible mass effects (subtle) throughout rest of lungs
- The images are attached (video), we did an FNA of this portion of the lungs and cyto, C&S are pending
- During FNA, pockets of fluid were hit which, when aspirated, appeared serosanguinous but were quite cellular (no bacteria seen).

- There were apparent areas of calcification within this “mass” but much of the rest of the lung fields looked like hepatization.
- Curious what your thoughts are as to appearance of mass vs. pneumonia vs. abscessation secondary to FB

Tough to say liz but this is
Tough to say liz but this is ominous I am guessing sarcoma first. hepatization and neoplasia can look the same but fna should tell the diff here nice big target
