GB sludge feline

Sonopath Forum

hello,

I have a question about GB sludge in cats. If sludge is present do you treat it as abnormal?

I have this cat that had cholangiohepatitis, a partially obstructed CBD with moderate distension (0.48 cm) and small stone/sand at the duodenal papilla.

Responded very well to sympt. tx and now after 3 months all normal( stone gone, CBD back to normal) but GB still has  sludge  despite ursodiol 6 weeks tx. Do I still treat with actigal or just monitor vs ignore?

I posted 2 stills of the actual GB and one clip with the previous papilla.

Thank you,

Calin

Its debatable and answers all

Its debatable and answers all over the map. other than the sludge this looks pretty normal for an npo cat. Given the predisposition if the owner doesnt mind the tx then it may help… crystal ball issue here

What are the liver enzymes

What are the liver enzymes doing? if dropping then monitor and assess on a regular basis but if increasing the consider ongoing treatment despite the cat appearing asymptomatic.
