Gastric outflow obstruction?

Sonopath Forum

Gastric outflow obstruction?

  • 6 yr old FS GSD
  • Hx of 3 separate FB surgeries, first one had multiple enterotomies and a gastrotomy.
  • 1 month hx of nausea, decreased appetite, vomiting, and 8lb wt loss.
  • this dog’s mother was euthanized for extensive gastric neoplasia found on exploratory sx

On the rad, it seems like nothing is where it should be.  Odd radiograph pattern, is the stomach consistent with chronic outflow obstruction?

I’m having a hard time deciphering the pylorus in these clips… what is going on?  The owners do not want to put Sadie through another surgery and her QOL is poor, so we are likely euthanizing next week, but I still would like to learn from it.

Thank you!  I’m hoping to improve my skills at the clean-up lab in November.  🙂
