A 2-year-old MN German Shepherd was presented for anorexia, lethargy, exhibiting acute renal failure and the following labs: Azotemia (BUN >130; Creat 9.9), USG=1.012, Hyperblilrubinemia, and Leukocytosis (52,000).

Lung lobe torsion in a 2 year old FS pug

A 2½-year-old SF Pug dog with a 3-week history of coughing was presented for evaluation of sudden onset anorexia. Mild leukocytosis was present on CBC. Serum chemistries showed mildly elevated amylase, lipase, and ALP activity. The sonographer noted minor tachypnea at the time of the abdominal sonogram. 

Lung lobe torsion in a 6 year old MN Collie dog

A 6-year-old neutered male Collie dog was presented for evaluation of a sudden onset of respiratory distress after a week of coughing. Pyrexia, tachypnea, and muffled heart sounds on the right were evident on physical examination. Survey thoracic radiographs showed pleural effusion and an ill-defined medial lung lobe consolidation. Leukocytosis was present on CBC.

An 8-month-old Miniature Schnauzer was presented for evaluation of lethargy and polyuria. Urinalysis showed no significant abnormalities. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were leukocytosis, lymphocytosis, severely elevated bile acids (220), and elevated ALT and AST activity.
