A one-year-old male Maltipoo was presented for evaluation of monorchidism.

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Cryptorchid. Normal prostate. Intraabdominal right testicle cranial to the urinary bladder adjacent to the body wall.

Image Interpretation

The prostate was uniform at 2.2 cm. Intraabdominal testicle was noted and measured 1.38 cm. The left testicle appeared within normal limits with uniform structure and contour. It measured 2.06 cm. The intraabdominal testicle appeared to be cranial to the urinary bladder on the right side adjacent to the body wall and bordered by intestines.

Monorchid with testicle in inguinal canal or intra-abdominally, located between kidney and bladder neck area.
