Image Interpretation

The liver in this patient presented slightly echogenic gallbladder debris. Lobar biliary calculi and dilation were noted. The common bile duct was dilated at 0.75 cm with acommon bile duct calculus that measured 0.58 cm. Other debris was noted, yet the primary calculus measured 0.88 cm and was embedded at the level of the duodenal papilla and was causing post hepatic obstruction. The cystic duct also revealed calculi.

Outcome

Surgical intervention with common bile duct liberation and redirection is likely. Surgical intervention is the only option in this patient.
