Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

mass of lung or lymph node origin; R/O sarcoma, carcinoma or lung necrosis

Image Interpretation

A 5 cm mixed, uniformly hypoechoic lung mass was noted adjacent to the pulmonary artery consistent with lung sarcoma, necrosis or sarcoma. This is likely of lung origin or of lymph node origin. Appears to be isolated. Slight microcavitation was noted.

Sampling

FNA of mass done without complication. Lung carcinoma most likely, possible adenoma
