Image Interpretation

CT of the right shoulder, plain and post contrast- There are no bony lesions noted. The subchondral bone of the humeral head is even and smooth.
The biceps tendon is seen continuously from its origin at the supraglenoid tubercle and within the intertubercular groove. There is no tendon sheath effusion. The bone surface of the intertubercular groove is even and smooth.
The supra- and infraspinatus tendons are within normal limits regarding their anatomy and structure.
There is no evidence of a mass lesion within the brachial plexus region. The axillary lymph node is within normal limits.

DX

CT of the right shoulder is within normal limits

Outcome

An underlying cause to the lameness cannot be identified.
Even though the sensitivity of CT regarding soft tissue pathology such as biceps- and supraspinatus tendinopathies as well as infraspinatus fibrosing myopathy is inferior to ultrasound and MRI the potential appears to be low here.
Lameness emerging from another joint such as the elbow should be considered also.
