This 6 year old MN Standard Poodle has a history of retropharyngeal mass that aspirated as chronic supperative lymphadenitis. Abdominal ultrasound showed splenic nodule and gall bladder sludge.

The computed tomography of the head/neck, thorax and abdomen is within normal limits

Image Interpretation

CT of the head, thorax and abdomen – 

Head: The mandibular and medial retropharyngeal lymph nodes are normal in size with a short-to-long axis ratio of less than 0.5 and do not show pathological contrast enhancement. The salivary glands are within normal limits.

Thorax: There is no evidence of pulmonary metastatic disease.

Abdomen: wnl

 

 

Outcome

At this point there was no structural evidence of a soft tissue pathology in the head/neck area and no evidence of abnormalities of the pulmonary, hepatic and splenic parenchyma.
