This 7 year old FS mixed dog presented for forelimb lameness; rads show possible left radius osteolysis. Lymphocytosis.

DX

The CT study of the left front limb was negative for macromorphological changes

Image Interpretation

CT of the left front limb and caudal thorax/cranial abdomen –

The osseous structures present within normal limits, there is no evidence of an osteolytic lesion in the radius.

Outcome

No pathological findings were detected in the soft tissues and the bony structures of the left front limb
 Mild degeneration of the intervertebral disc of T12/T13. An underlying cause of the lameness was not identified. Lameness originating from the cervical, the respective shoulder joint or distal limb needs to considered a possibility. Clinical correlation is warranted to adjust the diagnostic and therapeutic approach accordingly. Empirical treatment with anti-inflammatory drugs, pain management and restricted exercise may be considered
