DX

Resectable left medial liver mass. Chronic interstitial/potential pyelonephritis pattern.

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Resectable left medial liver mass.

Image Interpretation

The liver presented a 10+ cm mass deriving from the left medial lobe of a bridge that was approximately 2.5 cm with normal appearing liver tissue. The remainder of the liver in the deep left and right lobe appeared largely normal with age related changes. A mild amount of excessive gallbladder debris was noted. This mass appeared resectable. This mass did impinge upon the gastrointestinal tract and deviated caudally. However, the gastrointestinal tract appeared largely normal.

Outcome

Three weeks later the patient was not eating the K/D diet and the owner was considering options.
