We have seen 2 dogs with suspected systemic reactions to cuterebra. One Min Pin unfortunately went into DIC and passed away.

The other is a friend’s dog that had one cuterebra appear in the upper lid of a markedly swollen Rt upper lid. She still has a moderate swelling on the neck with no exit hole appearing yet.

The other is a friend’s dog that had one cuterebra appear in the upper lid of a markedly swollen Rt upper lid. She still has a moderate swelling on the neck with no exit hole appearing yet.

Attempted to ultrasound but have no experience. Did several searches but was unsuccessful. Can they be reliably identified with US. My Friend’s dog Genie is a minature dog as well and has not improved much since removing the first cuterebra so we are wondering if there is a second in the neck.
