Abcess near cecum

Sonopath Forum

Hello

I was hoping for some opinions on what I am seeing in these images. This is Jessie an 8 year old shepphard cross. She has been lethargic and vomiting, decreased appetitie and a hx of IMHA a few years back. The majority of the US scan was unremarkable other than finding 2 anechoic areas closely associated with the cecum that appear to be fluid filled with hyperechoic flecks within; They appear to be visous fluid as only occasional movement is seen.

I am thinking abcess but does not appear to be directly related to the bowel but closely associated and does not appear to be a LN.

I was able to see the pancreas relatively well and I do not feel it is associated with this area.

Thanks alot and looking forward to responses.
