This 8 year old FS English Springer Spaniel presented with right sided lameness and pain on palpation of lumbo-sacral iliopsoas.

Image Interpretation

CT of the stifles and LS junction –

Moderate incompletely bridging new bone is noted at the ventral aspect of the vertebral endplates L7/S1. The vertebral endplates present multifocal osteolysis with peripheral sclerosis. The lumbosacral disc reveals dorsal protrusion with mild obliteration of the ventral epidural space.

DX

Moderate chronic lumbosacral discospondylitis with intervertebral disc protrusion and lumbosacral stenosis.

Outcome

Neuroforaminal stenosis is a possible underlying cause of the unilateral lameness
reported. Clarification requires MRI, which has been performed already.
