This 8 year old MN Dachshund dog presented with a history of a chronic cough
right lateral, left lateral and VD thorax – The course of the trachea
is normal. On one of the lateral views a redundant tracheal membrane is noted level
with the caudal neck which is an incidental finding. The lung parenchyma presents a moderate increase in visibility of the bronchial walls
with mild peribronchial cuffing. Several bronchi present mild cylindrical ectasis. There
are no signs of air trapping.
Consider symptomatic treatment versus bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage.
Consider other pathology such as tracheitis/laryngitis, dynamic tracheal collapse as well
