Gastric wall thickening. Suspect pythiosis gastropathy. This meets neoplastic criteria. Ultrasound-guided FNA or more likely ultrasound-guided core biopsy of the stomach may be necessary for a definitive diagnosis in this patient.
Micronodular spleen. Ultrasound-guided FNA is recommended. The spleen may be reactive or simple German Shepherd hypersplenism.
The stomach in this patient revealed diffuse thickening of the gastric wall measuring 2.3 cm serosa to mucosa with pericapsular inflammatory pattern. The small intestine and colon were unremarkable.
The spleen was mildly enlarged with slight micronodular changes.
