Linear intestinal foreign body with emerging perforation and localized peritonitis.
The gastrointestinal tract revealed dilation and linear foreign body in the mid jejunum with reactive surrounding fat and surrounding free fluid. Accordion pleating was also noted. Remaining material appeared to be in the pyloric outflow. Free fluid was noted in the caudal abdomen adjacent to the small intestine.

Immediate exploratory surgery is recommended with concurrent gastrointestinal biopsies to rule out underlying disease. Multiple enterotomies and possible intestinal resection may be necessary as well as gastrotomy.
