How to price an ultrasound machine

I am looking to sell my ultrasound machine (a Fuji Fazone with 3 probes).  I have been looking around for other ones for sale to give me an idea of how to price it, but I haven’t found any for sale.  Does anyone know about how much to ask for it or how I can find out what it’s worth on the used market?  I can give more information if needed.

Thanks!

Suzanne

I would check ebay and other
I would check ebay and other google searches but also ask the distriubutor what its worth.

Any solid machine nowadays that demands> 20k in price in my opinion must do solid image quality to 6 cm depth with right and left adrenals seen readily, have probes that will do solid cardiac and abdomen including cw pw and color doppler, harmonics and power doppler. Mid level older machines that are > 3 years old usually are worth less than 20k.

machines that do not supply the requisites listed are usually in the 01-12k range or less with the higher price for those with solid image quality.

Also the ability to readily service it or not. A machine that can’t be serviced is a liability.

I do not know this particular machine but these are decent parameters to go by in my experience

I have checked e-bay and

I have checked e-bay and never seen one but I’ll keep checking.  The machine (including probes) cost 45-48K last year.  It is a very solid imager but lacks CW.  Your parameters are at least a starting point.

Thanks,

Suzanne

I would contact Fuji directly
I would contact Fuji directly as a potential veterinary and human client and see what they are selling the new ones for both from human and veterinary and price yours 20-30% lower either on sonopath or ebay or both. That would be the sneaky way to do it:)

That gets me even closer to

That gets me even closer to setting a price on it.  Thanks for the practical suggestion!
