Hi All –

Help appreciated here. I have ?a 13 year old MN pointer mix with a recurrent UTI, now resistent to everything but nitrofurantoin and injectables. Over a year ago, I neutered him due to a prostatitis (BPH on traumatic cath) and also removed his spleen (benign). Since then he’s had two episodes of bloody urine, positive e.coli cultures treated with ciprofloxacin and culturing negative post treatment.

Currently asymptomatic, looks great. On a homecooked kidney diet formulated by a vet nutritionist and supplemented with the balanceIT powder.

BUN hovers around 38-45, Creatinine hovers around 2.5.
