Hi everyone,
Wanted a second opinon on a case I did.
1 year old, male neutered, whippet presented with pyexia of unknown origin. Bloods pending.
Ultrasound revealed hypoechoic rounded jejunal and mesenteric lymph nodes. Cytology pending.
I noticed the left renal vessels were more prominent than usual with turbulence however, no masses or thrombus was observed. Right renal vessels were fine.
*apologies for not havign a video with Colour Doppler.
Is this a normal/significant finding in Whippets?

I think its just the
I think its just the combination of a very close proximity of the probe to the renal artery and no fat regarding the turbulence as the sound waves just pick up the rbcs traveling through as you can see this at minimal depth and high resoltion in most arteries and a good machine which you have…. regarding the volume not sure… anything active in the urine?
Ah… That does make sense!
