How can I prepare myself to scan a puppy with possible congenital heart issues?

I have a scan next week on an 8-month-old puppy with possible congenital heart issues, a murmur was asculted. What, if anything in particular should I be looking for in such a case? Or would this be scanned as any other routine echo? I know if it happens to be a PDA case I need…

Oxford Science Hematology System

Does anyone out there own or have experience using the Oxford Science hematology machine (Genesis or otherwise)?  I have a colleague who is thinking about purchasing one but wanted feedback on it from other users.

8 mth old cat with severe dilation of the RA and RV.

8 mth old cat desexed 2 days ago, no heart murmur and bloods unremarkable. However, prolonged recovery post op, became dyspneic and started showing ‘neurologcal signs’ after surgery. incidental finding of a severely enlarged RV amd RA during abdominal scan. TV was hardly moving and the CVC was severely distended.

Cardiac Mass

– 10 year old MN Labx presented for acute collapse and pale mm – cardiac scan showed mild pericardial effusion and large mass in right auricular appendage – I am pretty sure this is a mass (hemangiosarcoma) but could a blood clot look like this as well?
