Emphysematous hepatitis in a 10yr old, FS Australian Shepherd
A 10-year-old FS Australian Shepherd was presented for evaluation of acute hematemesis, vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy. Abnormalities on physical examination were lateral recumbence, dehydration, and pyrexia (106.8). Blood work showed thrombocytopenia and elevated ALT (655) activity. On survey radiographs possible mass in mid abdomen and hepatomegaly was evident.

An 11-year-old NM Labrador was presented for evaluation of acute onset vomiting and anorexic. Physical examination showed right-sided head tilt (previous TECA), dehydration, and non-painful abdominal palpation. CBC was within reference range. Abnormalities on serum biochemistry were elevated ALP activity and amylase.
Congenital Addison’s disease in a 5 month old M English Springer Spaniel
History: A 5-month-old male English springer spaniel was presented for evaluation of acute onset diarrhea and vomiting. On physical examination lethargy, dehydration, hypothermia, and bradycardia was present. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were mild lymphocytosis and mild eosinophilia, azotemia, hyperphosphatemia, hypercalcemia, hyponatremia and hypokalemia. Urinalysis showed SG of SG-1.015, proteinuria, and glycosuria.
