An 18-year-old SF DSH was presented for evaluation of hematuria and stranguria. Urinalysis showed SG of 1.019 and proteinuria. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were anemia and azotemia.

Obstructive bladder mass with left ureteral obstruction.
Mild to moderate hydronephrosis in the left kidney. Moderate degenerative renal changes.
Transitional cell carcinoma or bladder lymphoma are primary differentials.
The urinary bladder was comprised of a 2.4 cm mass that occupied most of the bladder. The bladder mass appears to enter into the pelvic urethra. This did not appear resectable.
The left kidney presented moderate degenerative changes. There was hydronephrosis of the left kidney that measured 1.0 x 0.5 cm. Hydroureter was noted and measured 0.5 cm. The ureter was obstructed by the bladder mass. The left kidney measured 3.32 cm. The right kidney revealed pyelectasia that measured 0.34 cm. The right kidney presented dystrophic mineralization, moderate degenerative changes with no obstructive disease; however, pyelectasia was present.
